As a great alternative, our incredibly versatile Unbleached White All Purpose Flour can be used in recipes ranging from cookies and cakes to breads and pizza crusts. We can help you find recipes using that flour and help with any recipe troubleshooting you may need!
If you need lighter flour, such as cake flour, adding cornstarch to the AP Flour will help add tenderness and lower the protein content of the flour mixture so that it mimics cake flour. Per cup of AP Flour, you’ll want to replace 2Tb of Flour with cornstarch and mix thoroughly. Sifting it can also help aerate it to make it lighter!
