Oats are a natural agricultural product, and the texture and consistency of the oat can vary slightly from crop to crop, sometimes with more husks or hulls being present. Variances can also occur depending on the growing season of the crop. We have process controls and product inspection procedures in place to exclude as much of these materials as possible, but they cannot be completely eliminated based on the technology used in the manufacturing process. Rest assured that the presence of hulls/husks or seeds do not present a food safety issue, and the oats are safe to consume.
